When the “Urban” Meets the “Political”
Following the events at Yerevan City Hall and now-former-Mayor Hayk Marutyan, the complicated relationship between the “urban” and the “political” in post-revolutionary contexts comes to light.
Armine Bagiyan is a Research Fellow at the Department of Sociology and Human Geography of the University of Oslo in Norway, where she also teaches. Her research is on public spaces in Yerevan and Kyiv. She holds an MPhil degree in Development Studies from the University of Cambridge and has completed training at the European Parliament in Brussels.
