Ara Khanjian

Ara Khanjian is a Professor of Economics at Ventura College, in California. He has lectured economics at different universities, including Hofstra, Saint John’s, and New York University. His research interest is public finance, including taxes and pension reform. He has presented papers, discussed articles, and lectured in Canada, Armenia, Argentina, and during the 2000s, at four conferences at the World Bank’s headquarters in Washington D.C., dedicated to Armenia’s economy. During the summer of 1991, he researched the privatization of the agricultural sector at the Institute of Economics and Planning of the Ministry of Economy and during the summer of 2016, worked at the Ministry of Economy as an economic adviser to the minister. He holds a PhD in economics from The New School for Social Research in New York and received his MA in economics at Queen’s University in Canada and BA in economics at the University of British Columbia in Canada.
