Gaya Balian is a writer and journalist currently studying English and Communications at the American University of Armenia. She serves as the managing editor of “The Highlander”, the university’s student magazine. With a passion for storytelling, Gaya is particularly focused on reporting on marginalized and vulnerable communities in Armenia and the Middle East. An aspiring scholar, she uses her voice to tell stories that often go unheard.
