Hovhannes Atabekyan

Hovhannes was born in Yerevan and completed his secondary education in Cyprus, at the Melkonian Educational Institution where he graduated with high distinction. In 2004, he moved to the UK, where he received a Bachelor’s degree in economics and business from the University of Hull. After spending a number of years working in the business sector in the UK, Hovhannes moved back to Armenia in 2010 in pursuit of new opportunities in the homeland.

Currently, he works as a manager at EV Consulting – a leading management advisory firm based in Armenia. In this capacity, Hovhannes has developed, implemented and managed over 60 projects and high-profile initiatives in private and public sectors in the spheres of investments, performance improvement, public policy and development. Among these are high-profile programs of the RA Government, the World Bank, USAID, German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), Asian Development Bank, European Union, etc.

Hovhannes is a co-author of the National Competitiveness Reports of Armenia 2010-2014 (Economy and Value Research Centre). He takes pride in having direct impact on the development of the homeland through a variety of activities and initiatives.
