Lara Techekirian

Lara Techekirian is an international expert in the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of the Republic of Armenia (Human Trafficking and Women’s Issues Department). She holds a Master's degree in Peace and Development from La Sapienza University of Rome, a Bachelor’s degree in Law from the Lebanese University and a Post graduate diploma in International Criminal Law and Procedure from the TMC Asser Institute (The Hague) with considerable experience in International Law, Gender Issues and Human Rights. Previously, she had worked with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in a range of functions (Coordination, Legal, and Protection; These included Detention, Gender-Based Violence, Child Protection), with the Special Tribunal for Lebanon (STL) as a National Visiting Professional/Consultant and with the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) as a Consultant on Women Empowerment.
