Shoushan is a specialist in post-war recovery and development. Originally from Beirut, Lebanon, she repatriated to Armenia through the iGorts program in late 2020, working at the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

In early 2021, Shoushan relocated to Artsakh to work in post-conflict recovery, founding Hub Artsakh, a co-working space and NGO based in Stepanakert. The mission of Hub Artsakh is to build human capital and resilience.

Shoushan is also the co-founder of the Sunrise Stepanakert annual art festival.

Until the start of the ongoing blockade of Artsakh, Shoushan was based in Stepanakert. She happened to be on this side of the road when the blockade started, and has been unable to return ever since.
