Ara Aivazian is an Armenian diplomat and former Minister of Foreign Affairs. He studied at the Faculty of Oriental Studies of Arabic Studies at Yerevan State University and later at the Haigazian University in Lebanon. With almost 30 years in the diplomatic service, Aivazian served as Ambassador of Armenia to a number of countries including in Latin America, the Baltics and Scandinavia. He served as Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister (October-November 2020), and later as Minister of Foreign Affairs from November 2020-May 2021. His diplomatic rank is Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary.
