Anna Gevorgyan is a Research Fellow at the Center for Civilization and Cultural Studies and a lecturer in Iranian Studies at Yerevan State University. She has previously served as an advisor to the Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia (2018) and at the National Defense Research University (2016–2018). Her research focuses on regional security and Iran, the political culture of Iran, the role of Shia Islam in shaping Iranian politics, the dynamics of Iran’s domestic politics and gender issues, as well as the country’s foreign policy.
