Heghine Pilosyan

Heghine Pilosyan is an architect specializing in affordable housing and sustainable urban transitions. She holds an MSc in Sustainable Architecture from the Polytechnic University of Turin and a postgraduate diploma in Developing Social Housing Projects from IHS at Erasmus University Rotterdam. She has worked internationally, including on Passivhaus projects in China, and contributed to Yerevan’s climate change adaptation plan. In 2024, she founded the HfX Housing Studies Centre, focusing on integrated housing approaches beyond construction. Her work includes published research on Soviet and post-Soviet housing, early mass-housing districts in Yerevan, and modernist-era workers’ housing. She is involved in a state-partnered program repurposing unused public buildings into non-profit social rental housing and advancing housing standards and legislative reform in Armenia.
