Yerevan’s Christian heritage has usually been overshadowed because of its proximity to the Holy See of Ejmiatsin. The first accounts about churches in Yerevan are from records dating back to the Third Church Council of Dvin in 607 AD.
Seda Grigoryan is a filmmaker from Yerevan. Since 2018, she is the Head of the Creative Europe Desk in Armenia. She worked at CivilNet TV as video director and produced several documentaries. In her experimental short "Memories of the Future" she reflects on her search for answers as an Armenian caught between the struggle of the nation and that of a young soul; the emotional pattern drawn from the repetitive pain connecting history and present day.
Hidden away in dusty archives, Seda Grigoryan discovered documents from a 1939 Soviet trial that found 20th century writer, literary critic and public figure Zabel Yesayan guilty of crimes she had not committed.
