Silva Sevlian

Silva Sevlian is an occasional writer with 15 years of experience across the nonprofit and research sectors in the United States. Her work has long centered on the power of narrative—helping institutions and individuals find the language to tell their most important stories.
Based in Yerevan, she is a faculty member at American University of Armenia, where she teaches graduate students intensive English-language communication in hospitality, grant writing, and nation building. She also teaches an undergraduate writing composition course and occasionally collaborates with the university’s communications and advancement team on fun things.
Silva has two vices: running and smoking cigars (never at the same time). She is flirting with writing a book about mothering in the motherland.
