Todd S. Gernes

Todd Gernes is an Associate Professor of History at Stonehill College in Easton, Massachusetts, specializing in nineteenth- and twentieth-century U.S. History. He teaches the U.S. History survey courses, African American History and, more recently, a seminar on The Great War of 1914-1918. He has published articles and reviews on history and material culture in a variety of scholarly journals: MELUS, the New England Quarterly and the Winterthur Portfolio, among others. With his colleague Prof. Anna Ohanyan, Gernes runs the LION Program (Learning Inside Out Network) at Stonehill College, an interdisciplinary program for undergraduate students that features travel, intensive study, and short-term civil-society internships in Yerevan, Armenia.
