Joya Lahoud holds an MA in Human Rights and Social Justice from the American University of Armenia and a BA in International Affairs and Diplomacy from Notre Dame University-Louaize. In the early stages of her journey, she participated in programs like Erasmus+ at Paris Lodron University and was involved in Model United Nations conferences, further enriching her academic and professional development. Joya was involved in various projects for numerous NGOs, including the AUA Acopian Center for the Environment, where she assisted in research and report writing. She also contributed to the Center for Truth and Justice, the United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, and the Armenian General Benevolent Union.

Through these experiences, Joya has developed a deep insight into grassroots issues, particularly in the MENA region and Armenia. She has gained valuable skills in social media management and public health research. Joya is particularly interested in children's and environmental rights, reflecting her commitment to making a significant impact in these critical areas.
