Narek Abgaryan is a legal professional specialized in public international law with expertise in the areas of international humanitarian law and international human rights law. He obtained an LLM from the Russian-Armenian University and another LLM in international operational law from the Swedish Defence University.

In addition to his legal practice, Narek also teaches public international law and international humanitarian law. He coaches Armenian teams for moot court competitions at both national and international levels.
