Justin Tomczyk is a graduate of Stanford University’s MA in Russian, East European, and Eurasian Studies. From April 2022 to December 2023 he worked as an Eastern Europe Subject Matter Expert at the risk detection and event discovery firm Dataminr. His real-time coverage included the 2022 Kharkiv Counteroffensive, the Rostov Mutiny, and the Fall of Artsakh. From 2017 to 2019 he lived in Yerevan, Armenia.
