Liana Avetisyan

Liana is currently working as a program manager at the Caucasus Institute, one of the leading think-tanks in Armenia.

In the course of her graduate studies, Liana was a member of a research team and was focused on world-system theory. After graduation from American University of Armenia and Russian-Armenian University (MA in Political Science and International Affairs, 2016), she started her career as a program manager at the Caucasus Institute. The projects that she coordinates/manages are related to research and capacity-building in Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh), public debates and discussions of conflict resolution, major developments in domestic and foreign policies of Armenia, etc. The target groups of the projects are young scholars, professionals, media representatives, civic activists and CSOs.

She organized youth events, simulation games and debates, international conferences dedicated to major developments in the South Caucasus. The projects have been funded by the UK Government CSSF, Canada Fund for Local Initiatives, US State Department Democracy Commission, etc.
