Lilit Margaryan works on science and innovation policy, institutional development and strategic communications. She is currently a National Consultant on Public Policy Innovation with UNDP Armenia, where her work spans participatory policymaking, AI literacy, Armenia’s R&D ecosystem, strategic initiatives and partnerships.

She previously served as Director of Advocacy and Public Engagement at the Gituzh Initiative, helping advance Armenia’s research and development agenda. She also helped initiate Science Week Armenia, a nationwide science popularization initiative. Her writing explores the institutions, policies and choices shaping Armenia’s future. She also writes occasionally about culture and architecture, two of her long-standing passions.

She admires people with a strong sense of agency and those to whom truth matters.
