Tatev Hovhannisyan

Tatev Hovhannisyan is an award-winning investigative journalist from Armenia, currently serving as the Chief Editor and Academic Director at The Oxford School for the Future of Journalism (OXSFJ). Until August 2023, Tatev was Europe and Eurasia Editor at the London-based openDemocracy, where she focused on investigating the funding behind anti-gender movements and exposing human rights violations. Her investigative reports have been featured in international outlets, including The Guardian, BBC and Euronews. Tatev is also an active member of several international networks of journalists, academics and civil society actors, working at the intersection of media, justice and social change. Currently, she is working on her first book — a memoir of growing up in 1990s Armenia during the post-Soviet transition, war and energy crisis.
